Cleansing Watermelon, Lemon and Ginger Juice

This is a deliciously refreshing juice with a huge health hit too. It's ingredients are fabulous to ward off cancer, cleanse the liver and kidney and should appear as part of your beauty ritual with it's anti ageing properties. 

Watermelon is full of lycopene which is the naturally occurring chemical in red fruit and veggies that gives them their vibrant red colour. It has been shown to prevent heart disease, and protecting against at least 5 or 6 cancers including uterine, prostate, bladder and lung. It's full of antioxidants so protects against cell damage which is also very beneficial for healthy and glowing skin too. Lemons are a powerful little superfood under their yellow skin - they will boost your detoxification pathways, help strengthen your immunity, cleanse your stomach amongst a trillion other benefits. Last but not least, the ginger is an incredible anti-inflammatory agent as well as also being a great anti oxidant amongst it's many super powers! So whilst this is super yummy, it's a very powerful little combo.

Ingredients (to make 2 large glasses):

4 cups chopped fresh watermelon (peel removed)

1 cm of fresh ginger

1 lemon (peel removed)

Method:

Simply peel, cut the fruits into chunks that will fit in your juicer, add the stick of ginger and let your juicer do all the rest. Or you can remove the seeds & ginger skin and chuck it all in your powerful blender and just sieve it if you don't want lots of 'bits' , and drink up!
